Monument / Plinth / Stoop
Monument / Plinth / Stoop involved the recreation of the plinth with a set of steps leading to the top of it. The individual who chose to rise to the top became part of a sculptural work of art. Cities are adorned with “monuments” but this one embraces the individual, the person that is often over-looked. Individuals walking by would occasionally rest on the steps of the plinth, thus, transforming it into a stoop.
Monument / Plinth / Stoop was originally placed in Overtown, Florida adjacent to the I-395 Freeway in March of 2006. The participants were documented and images were printed and gifted to them. The sculpture was next to the artist's studio and home.
The sculpture has been exhibited at The 40th Anniversary of Public Art in N.Y. in Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx next to the Grand concourse and across from the Federal Courthouse Complex. The Plinth was also exhibited and at the Moore Space in the Design District, The Perez Art Museum, and the Carlos & Rosa de la Cruz Collection.

NICHE
2006 / Museum of Contemporary Art / North Miami, FL.
Niche was created by the artist in his studio in downtown Miami, photographed in its original context, then delivered and placed in the museum setting where it was displayed according to:
- A) Having a visibly intrusive cut made directly into the museum wall.
- B) Placed in a solitary manner allowing the work to exist unoccupied.
- C) Remain visible from the front and perpendicular angle demonstrating it is an intervening object in the museum wall.
Niche was acquired by the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami and is now in the Institute of Contemporary Art of Miami in the Design District.

WISHING WELL
2006 / The Moore Space, Miami, FL
The Wishing Well was displayed in the neighborhood surrounding the artist’s studio in downtown Miami in 2006. The Flagler railroad tracks distinguished the East and West side of downtown Miami personifying the metaphor of “Living on the other side of the Tracks”. Overtown and downtown Miami is undergoing a transformation since Interstate 395 is being reconstructed and the rail road is being used to connect Miami to Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Orlando.
