Neon & Light Sculptures
The following are works made in Neon and Lead Crystal Sculptures that are to be exhibited on walls.

THE LOVE SHOPPE
2001 / Banco Espirito Santo, Miami, FL
The Love shoppe consisted of a Neon Heart & T-shirts with an anatomically rendered Heart that read “I Love You”. The song “I Feel Love” by Donna Summers played on repeat.
The Bank was being demolished for a newer building by the same institution and Fred Snitzer curated an exhibition where Miami artist created site-specific installations.

NEON ELLEGUA / 1995
In Yoruba mythology, Ellegua is an Orisha (spirit) associated with “opening the ways”, or crossroads. A Babalow (a high priest) invokes Ellegua for prophesy. Worshippers often use iconic representations made of cement, cowerie shells and a metal spike placed near a doorway. Offerings are occasionally made and Ellegua in reward protects the dwelling from any harm.

MARTI AS A LAMP / 1995
Jose Marti was the leader of the Independence Revolution from Spain. I choose to make a lead crystal sculptures of the bust of Jose Marti to function as a lamp. It reminded me a great deal of Dali’s “Evocation of the Apparition of Lenin” 1933.
